Brave Papa Friday

Good afternoon,

Well, we finished our class novel, Brave Mama Puss with Chapters 9 and 10.


So, the story...in total...






Oh, and speaking of things from the IWB...



And speaking of video clips...


...the choir performed for assembly.

Speaking of assembly...and getting together...Room 6 once again got together with Room 2 during our library time.




And a great time was had by all. Seriously. These seniors relate beautifully to our juniors.

Thursday Theology

Good afternoon,

This afternoon we continued learning stories from the Bible that showed that Jesus loved others...

• BBQ on the beach
• Jesus and the Little Children
• The widow's son
• Jairus' daughter
• Blind Bartimaeus
• Jesus calms the storm
• Jesus walks on water - and calms another storm

...including Jesus healing the 10 lepers (Luke 17:11-19).

Jesus was walking past a town on his way to Jerusalem when 10 lepers cried out "Have mercy on us," to Jesus from afar.


Jesus said to them "Go to the priests to have them check you."


As the turned to go, the 10 lepers were instantly made well.


But only one came back to Jesus to thank him!

Earlier in the day, we also did a spot of reading...


...and later, tried drawing Taranaki.

Wednesday Wondering...

...around the class that is!

Good afternoon,

This afternoon, for R.E., we read and then acted the story of the Widow's Son (Luke 7:11-17).



After R.E. we continued furthering our understanding of how the Maori legend of the Battle of the Mountains was one way some Maori tribes tried to understand how volcanoes ended up where they ended up. Specifically, the children drew either Pihanga, or Tongaririo.

Good afternoon,

We had a great time out at Teeball this afternoon. Pity I was too busy to take any photos!

Anyway, we hacked away at some maths and writing...




...and some reading.




After lunch, and before P.E., the whole J Team popped by for some music...


...and singing.

And a good time was had by all!
