Funday Friday

Good morning,

Yesterday was our last for Term 3, and a good time was had by all!

We had a visit from Room Awesome...

...did a bit of fitness..

...caught up on the fourth MoveIprove gym session...

...and a little TRUMP.

Thank you to those who were able to make it to our assembly (I thought it ran very well - inspite of the fact that we got there later that I would have like due to loosing track of the time through wargaming with the children using the Star Wars miniatures! Well done Room 2), and to everyone for another great term.

Enjoy your break, I'm planning to enjoy mine...starting last night...

Merchandising Thursday

Good afternoon,

This morning we started with a bit of free enterprise, making and selling items in the open market...of Room 2...

...and this afternoon we kind of ended...well, toy manufacturers certainly have merchandised them...lightsabers. But this time how they make the sound thereof. For the movies.

Ahh, so that's how they did it!

We're on assembly tomorrow afternoon, but please note assembly is at 2:15 tomorrow.

Thanks,

Mr Grant

Oh, and this just in...
Part of the Icefest festival – the US Antarctic Programme – will have their large aircraft a C17 do a flyover the city – Friday b/n 12.30-1.15pm.

Moneyed Wednesday

Good afternoon,

This morning it was all about the ca-ching!

So we talked about making equivalent amounts...

...and then made up set amounts using the money we cut out yesterday.

Good stuff!

Have a nice evening,

Mr Grant

Active Tuesday

Good afternoon,

Once again Tuesday was movement day. First with some Gymnastics...

...finishing with some Athletics training, with a touch of maths...

...(this was pretty cool - we're working with money for maths this week, so I had the children cut out some to work with tomorrow. I was just going to have them put them in their chair bags and then a couple of bright sparks pointed out that the children could create wallets to keep their money in, and then showed the rest of the class how to do just that)...and reading...

...and a good time was had by all!

Bye for now,

Mr Grant
